Too Many Horsemen Game

What Is Too Many Horsemen?

A world in chaos. Peril. Destruction. A brave few who stand. Alone. In darkness. Not necessarily together. The apocalypse is here. And there. And everywhere! Things just keep happening! Alien invasions and robot takeover and natural disasters and bombing raids and more!

But you’re not going down without a fight.

Don’t get us wrong – you’re going down. But you sure as sugar ain’t going down until the last! Compete to survive the longest in this non-cooperative survival game where everything gets worse and worse. This apocalypse has Too Many Horsemen.

How Do I Play?

The events of the game happen in rounds and turns. A round is not a turn. Events that happen on a new round happen after the last player, before the first player goes again. Events that happen on “your turn” happen for each person on their turn.

At the start of the game, one disaster card is drawn, and applies to everyone for the rest of the game. Each round, a new disaster card is drawn and added to the pool of bad things happening. As the game progresses, the game gets harder and harder to handle. You will die eventually, but your aim is to outlast everyone else. How do you do this?

Gather supplies – weapons, armor, and consumbables – to survive as long as you can. Weapons will help you beat up zombies, robots, and other things that want you dead. Armor keeps you safe from their wiles and even meteorites! Eat food to stay alive, and use tricky consumables to get a leg up.

At some point, locations to scavenge for items will start disappearing. Your supplies are limited. Eventually, you’re all going to be in the same spot (if you’re lucky)… that means disaster among yourselves. The goal is to be the last one standing – and that means trouble for everyone who’s trying to take that title from you. Did we mention weapons and armor? This would be another reason to get them. Trust no one!

We apologize in advance for all friendships ruined.

What Does The Deck Contain?

  • (16?) Disaster Cards – Cause new effects every round that make the game difficult.
  • (12?) Location Cards – Place your token on these to be able to scavenge for supplies.
  • (14?) Weapon Supply Cards – Hit your enemies!
  • (14?) Armor Supply Cards – Don’t get hit by your enemies!
  • (28?) Consumable Supply Cards – Special effects and healing… when you get hit by your enemies. And aliens and meteorites and stuff.

At this time, we’re not 100% sure of the balance of cards. We’re testing!
